Long before apps, this was the original way to reconnect people — one table, one conversation at a time.

We brought it online with one goal: to get you back around the table, where life happens.

Aerial view of the Cretan coastline where dry hills meet deep turquoise sea

A Village Between Mountain and Sea

Flanked by dramatic Cretan hills and the endless turquoise currents of the Aegean, Ammoudara is a sanctuary of sensory heritage. Here, centuries of sea salt, olive wood craft, and slow architectural detail meet a refined, contemporary perspective on island living.

Can you recommend a quiet spot for sunset dinner, away from crowds?

I suggest reserving a cliffside table at Thalassa Tavern. Ask for table number 4; it sits on the ancient stone ledge overlooking Kalami Cove. The sun sets directly behind the western chapel at 20:15, casting beautiful shadows over the old olive press.
